The Afropreneurs Summit Australia in collaboration with Afroshine Awards will recognise excellence in two specific areas on the day of the summit, namely entrepreneurship and authorship. Hence, we have initiated the African-Australian Entrepreneurship Awards and the African-Australian Book Awards.

The African-Australian Entrepreneurship Awards program seeks to recognise individual entrepreneurs who have demonstrated a high level of excellence in their business or social entreprise endeavours. This program is meant to showcase entrepreneurship innovation throughout the diverse Afro-Australian community around Australia. As more and more individuals embrace entrepreneurship and venture into business activities, it is important to highlight the successes of such individuals to the community and provide role models for other people, especially our youth, to emulate.

The African-Australian Book Awards is program that focuses on celebrating the achievement of African-Australians authors and publishers. The AFROPRENEURS SUMMIT considers authorship as a form of (social) entrepreneurship, which needs to be recognised and celebrated. Many more African-Australians are authoring books both in digital and print formats. There is also growth in the number of Afro-australian businesses that offer publication services. These activities deserve more recognition than what has been the case so far in the community

The nomination process for the above two awards categories has been simplified to encourage more participation in the community. Nominations can be done via email (info@afropreneurssummit.com.au or info@afroshineawards.com.au) as well as via SMS or WhatsApp message to +61437724469. 

To nominate, please take the following three steps 

1. Send us the name and contact details (email and Mobile number) of the person you are nominating 

2. Tell us the area in which they operate or their field of expertise or business. Also. tell us the title of the book they have written  (for book awards)

3. Tell us the reasons why you believe your nominee deserves to be awarded in few words ( 200 words).
